Godspeed Exhaust Manifold (ebay)

I just went through the trouble of pulling the stock manifold to install my $135 Godspeed exhaust manifold (header) and thought I'd make a post to save trouble for other newbies like me.

I bought this thing because the stock one that came on my new to me 2003 looked like crap (someone did a poor job painting it in the past) and the ebay pictures made it look good. I should have known better for $135.

The ports are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than stock (I am now learning my original was ported and polished though). Would clearly hinder performance.

Long story short, don't waste your time and money. Yes it looks decent (better than stock IMO, worse than the pics though) other than that it's junk. Just thought I'd share so someone could easily do a search and save the $$$. Again, probably obvious to experienced folks.

On a side note, anyone know something good to paint the original with?

If it's out and was ported and polished just have it sent out to be ceramic coated.

Could've saved $10 and a headache:

Ask first next time before buying any ebay parts.

In the long run you will save time, money, and headaches by doing it right the first time, Evo's aren't hondas and don't take well to shoddy parts.

Thanks guys, I think I'll be sending it in. Any idea what turn-around time usually is?

And I did a search and found a few references to other brands but nothing specifically on this one. Maybe I'm just a crappy searcher. But that's why i wanted to post this so it's not buried in a thread for the next newby that comes along.

With buschur I just paid the money to have them send me one and then I sent them my core back and then they refunded me the core charge this way I had no downtime. Took a week I believe. No longer

I thought about that, but with mine being ported and polished I figured they'd have to coat mine
