FP red ball bearing installed. Oil in turbo.

I installed the fp red and went out for a drive.. didn't boost it hard. Maybe 2-3 psi max. After the drive, took off the intake and found oil there on the turbo.
I installed the FP oil feed line and using amsoil 20w-50.

What do I do now? Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

thought I'd have my car running soon. It's my DD. But now don't have any ideas on what to do really..

Took off the lower intercooler pipe and found oil there too!

There are quite a few threads on here of people who have had the same issue with their FP turbos

Do you have your breather hose hooked up to the intake? I had this issue awhile back and this is what FP said:

"That breather hose is part of your PCV system that controls crankcase
pressure and is used to suck pressure out of the engine during
operation. Without it the motor can't properly vent it's crankcase
pressure and it's forcing it up through the return line of the turbo and
forcing oil out of the compressor side gas control ring. Hook that hose
vent back up and you shouldn't have this problem any more."

It's honestly so frustrating.. So much money and time and starting it and finding oil. Really don't know what to do.

Dump that oil out and get some Amsoil Dominator Racing oil(What I use and I also have an FP Red, zero issues).

It's not suitable for an FP Red turbo!

And your problem was solved? No more oil leak out of the housing?

Yeah, how do you have your intake setup? Is there a lot of oil or a small pool?

Small pool. BUT, there IS oil in the lower intercooler pipe! Didn't know a product like this can actually turn out this way..
No I have to take everything apart and install the stock turbo.

A little off topic here, but what you have now is not suitable for an FP Red as the oil you currently have now does not have enough formula to protect the engine or even the turbo itself under high power. It may not have anything to do with your problem of oil being in the turbo and LICP but over time it can cause said malfunctions or premature wear.

Since you are returning it back to a stock turbo however, you should be fine with the Amsoil 20w-50 for now.

Hey op, did you connect all of your vaccum hoses like "Mistaken" has mentioned? Give us an update on that first, there may be a vaccum leak somewhere that could be causing this leak..

For instance, driving the car when the engine has not fully warmed up will cause a high crankcase pressure causing oil pressure to come up and out. Was your car still cold when you took it out for a test drive? We need some more info so we can help you...

Pcv setup

The way that works for me with. I issues is run the pcv and driver side valve cover vent to a oil catch can and to the intake tube. No oil no oil leakage around the oil cap anymore. No dipstick blowout, not that it's ever happened ever

Anyone ever try the Mobil 1 motorcycle race oil. It does have a really high zinc and phosphorus content.

The car was FULLY warned up before I left the driveway. The fan was turning on while the car was working and I was checking out if there were any leaks, etc.. So it was warmed up.

The oil the op is using has a high zinc and phosphorus content already.... Double what Mobil one has.... If you look at fp's list they approve oils with less zinc !!!!!!!

"A table indicating oil weights and ZDDP content is supplied below, suitable oils are highlighted in
YELLOW."

Mr. Young aka FP representative

Note: FP Red and Black they recommend you using the oils highlighted in yellow... Green or any other should be fine with what's listed.....
