Gauge Pods under the radio In the Little Cubby
Better idea- move the radio down to the cubby and mount your gauges where the radio once was. There are a couple companies that make 3 gauge pods to fit into a single din spot. I am using one by 42draftdesigns
I made my own since nobody produces one for two gauges.
edit: It is no easier to see the gauges at the radio location than it is in the lower cubby. You can't look at the road and the gauges at the same time no matter the placement.

could you share a pic? as i'm in the market for an 2 gauge pod as i dont need 3.
Made my own as well. Not super easy to read, but keeps them out of the way and non-ricey looking which is what I was hoping for

How is it any easier to see? You have to turn your head just as much and still cannot see the road at the same time. Also the angle of them in the spot of the radio is harder to see than in the lower spot. I've driven multiple evos with them in both spots.

That looks amazing Demon! I bet you could resize it and fit them in on a angle to help see better, of perhaps move them forward more!
I'd like to know how you did it! Awesome job
Problem is that you can't angle them upwards much without having to trim the lower cubby, something i didn't want to do.
Angling them upwards would also hide more of the top of the gauge and would make them near useless
Here's an image of the back. I used the stock cubby and trimmed it so that I could just use the mounting points from it (you can see the top and bottom section are separate). I then glued it to a flat piece of 1/8" plastic that had been spray painted and used some other pieces of plastic to "level off" the face so that it sat flush with the opening
