What guys.

I'm in the process of trying to get my car tuned and I'm having the hardest trouble with somethings.

First, I'm trying to go back to the stock boost controller. The car came with manual Turbo XS, and I want to go back to electronic control. So, I took that off and reconnected the stock solenoid, and I'm only running gate pressure which is 0.9 BAR. I dont have the restrictor pill, so I'm assuming it has something to do with that.

I'm also trying to log load on my computer, but I'm completely stupid with computers. With this problem, I cant even read my computer on the car with ECUFlash, and I can test write on EvoScan. I've already modified, a stock XML file to load to the car. This is where it gets confusing. Evoscan pulls the roms as HEX file. Are the ROMs suppose to be flashed as XML? I Cant even modify or view the HEX Files, because it comes with some weird writing when I open it in NotePad.

I have everything installed and ready to go, but this computer stuff is driving me nuts. Can yous point me in the right direction of what to do?

I want to run stock boost, and I want to log load. I'm hoping I'll be able to log AFR when I get to it.

Yes, you need the pill if you are using the stock boost solenoid.

 

I got 1. It's the one coming off the wastegate.

 

Yup. And if you could find the GM 3-port, it's reported faster than stock unit. Or a MAC style like Grimspeed if you got more money.

 

I'm trying to see what my baseline is for the time being. I'm actually planning on getting an HKS or Greddy boost controller. But for trying to see if the stock one is good for now. Basically trying to get the car right.
