like the title says..i wanna get me wheel off but I cant because my stud is spinning with my lug nut still torqued on it.. any suggestions to getting it off without using tools that cut and will scrape my wheel?...or should I just let schwab take care of it..kinda dumb I know but its annoying and there is no room to grab stud

If you can get to the back side of the hub then you can hammer and chisel it off. You will have to spin the wheel around to get to it. It will be at a weird angel, but once you have the head of the stud broken or ground off, then it should pull out from the front or with a few taps from behind push out.

If it was me, I would put tension on it and then blip it with an impact to break it free.

Had the same problem, take all the other bolts off, this should loosen up the rim, then slip a saw blade between the back of the rim and the hub. Place the saw blade against the stud and then use a wrench (More speed the better) to spin the bolt. This will saw through the stud and not damage a thing.

Do you think a sawsall with a like 8" blade would get in behind there?

just the blade would, not the whole thing. Once you have the blade in place you could either try and work it back and forth by hand, or do what i did and get an impact wrench on the bolt and spin it. Spinning the bolt will allow the blade to cut through it. Make sure you use a fine tooth blade for cutting metal. I think i used a hacksaw blade though, its been a while but i remember it was long enough to get a hand on each end while it was between the wheel and the hub.

I have gotten wheels off with the same problem by outing tension on it and drilling and other cases an oxy / acetylene torch. I just covered the rim with wet paper towels and it only left a black mark inside the hole. they also make a spray gel u could put around the nut so it wont leave the black spot on the rim. probably would try this last resort though people with little torch experience could really screw up the rim.

Hey so I got it off my first attempt was grabbing the back of the stud with vice grips and having my girlfriend spin the lug off that didn't work vice grips couldnt hold the stud I got the s on there so tight to..second attempt I used just the saw blade took off all the other lugs and was able to slip it in there and actually move it back and forth till it cut through it I didnt have access to air tools so that worked fine though for all you with limited tools only took about ten min of cutting and my rim is completely fine....thanks for the input everyone hope this will help someone else in the future
