Greddy Ti fitment w/ USDM IX Bumper

I installed a Greddy Ti last weekend. I'm still on stock tune so earlier today I went to clean all of the soot off my bumber. As I was cleaning I noticed that it looks like the tip of the exhaust touched the bumper and burned the paint.

When I installed the exhaust I recognized that it was off center in exhaust opening, but I thought it looked fine. Is it supposed to sit like this?

Here is what I think was a burn? Maybe it happened during the exhaust install, but I don't think so.

JDM can on USDM bumper. This is why I have a stainless heat shield in that area.

I will try that this weekend. I left that clamp as it was when I bought it 4 years ago

That's what I'm starting to read... but I thought the Greddy was for the USDM bumper and the Trust was for the JDM bumper.. I guess this will force me to buy a JDM rear sooner, rather than later

fits better with the jdm rear for sure. but you can make it work with adjustments, just keep an eye on it because you will ruin your bumper cover

Do you think a carbon fiber exhaust shield is a worthwhile investment? Or should I just buy a JDM rear

I have the much cheaper Ti-C which is designed for the USDM bumper and I still bought a shield because all the tips sit so close.

I'd do the shield, just to save a good bumper cover that you can sell. A shield is way cheaper then a bumper obviously - so I'd do it in the meantime unless you have the JDM ready to do on right away.

How's the Greddy Ti holding up with the USDM bumper?

I had to buy a exhaust shield because it looked like the bumper was starting to melt (paint was becoming a yellow tint). This may also be attributed to the car being on stock tune (very rich), so I really can't confirm if it was caused solely due to the exhaust.

Here is what it looks like now:

I've never looked for such a product. Does anyone offer these in colored carbon so they didn't stand out so much?

I already replied to your PM, but I got the Rexpeed carbon exhaust shield for anyone else that is interested.

I didn't see any pre-painted ones when I was looking.
