bov whoosh sound

i recently changed my stock intake and ic piping to injen intake and ic piping. before i changed it my bov would make the pronounced "pshhhhh" sound but after i changed it makes a "whoosh" sound and is not as pronounced as the stock set up. i was wondering is this normal ? and no there is no boost leak.

"Whoosh's & pshhhhh's" disappear all the time, not to worry it will come back on it's own free will.

Good Luck...

Increasing the boost will give you more of a spool and BOV sound.

replacing the suction pipe to alloy i found, the sound was less pronounced.

This thread makes me feel like I went back to high school, haha.

I'm sure the Injen hard pipes are bigger diameter, right?

Wait, it got quieter when switch from the stock intake to the Injen intake? Do you have the stock recirculating bypass valve?

I found the sound to be much more pronounced with the short ram Cobb intake (basically just a filter stuck to the MAF meter). The bypass valve sounded like a BOV with it and the turbo "whoosh" was much more pronounced.
