Evo on stands. Rotors move in neutral

So, the evo has been in stands waiting to get the calipers back from coating and rebuilding. I noticed when I turn the car on, in neutral, the driveshafts start moving slowly forward both front and rear. If I grab the rotor they will stop but continue once i let to...what's wrong here?

Most cars do, and many 2WD vehicles will even spin the wheels while in the air. Not really a concern.

Mine do also

It's just fluid in the transmisson "connecting" the gears and moving them. that's why you can grab it and stop it with minimal effort

I mean there's a possibility that the clutch could be dragging too. I'm surprised nobody brought that up

The clutch ain't just dragging fellar, the turkey is fully engaged! -The transmission is in neutral, and presumably the OP's foot is not depressing the clutch whilst outside the car scratching his head at his turning wheels.

^ this. you'd have to be in gear with the clutch in to tell if it's dragging or not
