Injector help

So I know this has been discussed before but i still don't know the main difference. I'm going to be buying some FIC injectors and the car will be ran on 93 octane only. I'm leaning towards the 1450's I just don't know the difference between low-z and high-z.

Thanks in advance

High Z Injectors all you have to do is to remove the Injector Resistors results is crisper injector responses more stable Idle.

Low Z Injectors if i am remembering correctly its plug and play

Why do you need new injectors?

What kind of power goals are you looking to support? I just want to make sure you're picking an injector that is well matched for your setup. You don't want to end up with something too big or too small.

I'm going the 6266 route so I need something to hold power and help me grow. Thanks.

Do you have a power goal you'd like to plan for? That is the best way for me to help you select an injector size.

500 right now is my ideal sweet spot on 93 octane. def not planning more at the moment.

The 1450's are plenty for that. The high Z 1100's are better (less power potential, but better driveability). The ANSU 1080's better still.

thats where my confusion kicks in. I have people on one side side saying go all out an buy 2000cc injectors and never have to upgrade then people saying buy the minimum you need. I mainly want to know what the diff in low and high z means and which is preferable in which scenario.

6466 is a better turbo than 6266. virtually the same spool characteristics but with better power output

Thats another ive considered but then again thats such overkill for 500hp and i would probably have a SUPER laggy ride.

This may help you decide what size injector you need. http://fuelinjectorclinic.com/flow-calculator

Thanks to the others for helping out with this and linking to our injector flow calculator, thats always helpful when figuring out what injector size you'll need.

For 500 whp on gasoline you could run our 1100cc high impedance injector with 55-60 psi base fuel pressure and get the best of both worlds as far as supporting your power goals and tuning super nicely.

You could also go with our 1250cc low impedance injector (should be able to make it to 500 whp but it will be close), or of course our 1450cc low impedance injector. The low impedance injectors are an older design compared to the high impedance injectors and can be a little more work to tune in the larger sizes, but we have many EvoM users who also very happily run these.

Our 1650cc high impedance injector is also an option and will cover you all around, but the cost is higher than any of the other options I presented here. It would do a great job now and also in the future though even if you want to make more power or switch to E85.

You can find more info about any of these injectors on our website at www.fuelinjectorclinic.com or give us a call directly at (561) 427-0082.

I have some FIC 1050SP high Z injectors that have 300 miles on them for sale. PM me if you are interested. These would be fine for 500hp on 93 like stated earlier in this thread.
