high impedance injectors vs low impedance injectors

whats the benefit of running high impedance injectors over the low impedance injectors?

i want to buy the fic 1100cc high impedance injectors but i just realized that i have to cut out the resistor pack so is it worth it?

Traditionally, the difference is that low-Z injectors are much faster than high-Z injectors. This is an important advantage when it comes to maintaining driveability at low IDC with high capacity injectors, and is why your car came so equipped.

The most recently developed high-Z injectors (e.g. Bosch EV14) are designed to be faster, and are said to be faster than just about anything short of the FIC Bluemax low-Z injectors.

Is it worthwhile to go to the high-Z EV14 style? Well, they cost more, and are said to deliver a spray pattern that improves driveability somewhat. This seems to be most evident at much higher fuel pressure differentials than what is typical for us. I feel it's safe to say they should be viewed as an upgrade as compared to the regular (e.g. Delphi) low-Z injectors. As to if it's worthwhile to spend the additional money over the Bluemax series, I have yet to see anything conclusive where that is concerned.

the injectors are plug & play but the resistor pack needs to be removed or disconnected

You may be confusing the 1100cc high-Z with the 1150cc low-Z. The latter are plug and play, the former are not.

They will ship out the 6th or so, but I am taking orders!
The site will auto-calculate price!

As far as the injectors go though, to give you a rough picture of what a Bosch (FIC1100) can do, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Emnax2J4FX4

Keep in mind this is years ago, but they have always been on top as far as technology goes!

If one is street minded, why would one get a high z injector?

If streetability is priority, bluemax low z is the way to go?

Thanks!
