Fine example of US land of the free.. freedom against discrimination.. i guess its the same thing.. when Germany was strong.. everyone else was inferior... now its idiots like these being the racists... i wonder how you guys put up with this? And no.. its NOT a slang as the post above me put it.. its most likely this person will use the same word each time he encounters a german person, product etc.. maybe use the word '*****' when he talks about the same.. etc... its the mentality...
Breath there buddy... people are committed for less.

#6-And most importantly, just to reiterrate, the video is amusing and was meant to be so, and does not represent the attention to detail and the importance that is placed on safety at our events. Our instructors have plenty of skill, but are also whole-heartedly focused on teaching proper racing etiquette and safety! We did not foresee the negative interpretation that some of you have made, but should have expected it. We teach solid racing/car control techniques while maintaining a sense of humor, and we will not apologize for that.

Those who want to learn how to be fast, safe, and drive your car home at the end of the day in the same condition it started in, come out and experience the EOC!
Hi Rich,

Thanks for the explanation. Sorry if I came out of the gate swinging, but the way it was presented on the website it appeared to be an in-car video from a school session. It sounds like they are not representative of how EOC schools are run.

I instruct and organize driving schools myself, so I was kind of taken aback. Anyway, from your post, it sounds like EOC schools are well run.

Emre

well went the video was presented , it never was said " learn to drive a certain way ". Also you need to remember that not everyone is the same and that the way some people joke around and make commentts might be a strong pilll to swallow. Now that doesn't make it right to what he said , but if thats his way of joking around or his type of humor ....
The main idea was explain by Rich already .....

You know, I can totally see, as I stated before, how people could make the assumption that the video is representative of our school. I'm glad that I was able to clarify our position on that. It really is our goal to provide the safest learning environment, hell that's part of the reason we go to the track isn't it...to drive at insane speeds around corners and not go to jail for it? hehehe. We kind of just got tired of having people organize events that are either a complete disaster as far as quality and safety are concerned, as well as some organizations that are so bent on rules and being very strict that they forget that we are there to have fun!! Thanks for the kind words, Emre, it's pretty evident that you understand the way track events should be run!

Angel of mercy...I'm trying to be professional here in this reply, but your comment offends me very much, frankly. John Williamson is our chief driving instructor's name. His nickname is "Otto"...getting the picture? No? Ok...HE IS GERMAN!!! And in case you missed what I said, he used to be a Porsche factory race driver. I keep messing around with him and telling him that the more he drives the EVO he will eventually buy one, and he always says "never". Why? He knows it's an insanely fast car, and it surprised the hell out of him how fast it was in stock trim, but he is absolutely 100% loyal to Porsche and will never own another make of automobile. He calls his own Porsches "**** road-oilers" for Christ's sake. You are slamming keys on your keyboard without thinking first, or asking questions. You need to install a buffer between your brain and your mouth. But go ahead and spout your hate here...I'd almost gaurantee that if 100 people saw the video, 2 of them would think that what he said was an ethnic slam. Thank you for participating.

Too bad others dont seem to have a 'slang' for Americans... i wonder how you guys would like it to have names like that... whether or not you are offended... i dont really give a damn... if he is German.. that's fine.. he doesnt mind saying it.. however, he is promoting the word to hundreds of other people here.. so are you saying its ok to the readers here to use rascist names on others?? Or maybe you are one of those who do use those names?

Why dont you go up to an Afro-american you dont know or a Chinese-american and call them names like ***** or ***** in their face? I doubt you'd have a face after that.. and even worst.. may just start up rascist incited fight.. sorry, my opinion stands.. maybe you yourself should think about it before you tell me off...

BTW, my postings have nothing to do with your skills, abilities or performance as a driving school.. it is targeted solely at the driver who made those remarks...

Your skin is way too thin... you'd never make it across the sea. Over here, you'd be lucky if someone actually did call you by your given name, instead of "slim, red, redneck, toe head, cracker, dough boy, yank, big man, little buddy, smurf, munchkin, short stuff", etc, etc, etc. and then there are the jokes about your "old lady" and Moms . NOTHING is sacred, taboo, or above reproach here... There is slang for every race, religion, and sexual preference...

I don't recall him saying anything racist to anyone or encouraging anyone to do so in that video.

First, just about everyone has slang against Americans. I was born in Mexico, I am a dual-citizen, Anyone that meets me would never have the slightest clue that I am because I'm 6'6" and am white as concrete, but Spanish is my first language. And it's obvious that you don't give a damn whether or not I'm offended by your comments. But then again your'e a keyboard monkey who hasn't the slightest possibility of ever meeting me face to face, so of course you wouldn't care if I was angered by your statements. And that's ok, I expect that when I have discussions on the internet. My point is that there is no point in blowing things out of proportion when the vast majority of people that have seen the video never made the connection of racism with the "**** road-oiler" comment. I also think it unfair, and offensive to compare the comments to calling an African-American a "******" or an Asian-American "*****" as you did. I would, not being African-American or Asian-American, take offense to something like that, and just might even beat them to the first punch in such a scenario. I realize that your'e probably just bored and simply looking to create some kind of drama to spice up your otherwise un-eventful evening, so go right ahead. You probably think the best way to solve a problem is by pointing a finger though too. We don't need schools, we need more prisons...am I wrong? Stop trolling for acceptance, nobody here is going to give you a moral high-five! I'm done arguing about this, I'll let you have the last word...I know you'll post a reply!

Oh, Emre, what organization do you represent? I saw the great white north as your location, but where abouts? Are we talking North US, Canada...? My mother just moved up to Washington state from SoCal, she owns an STI (I can't believe she bought one...she's such a hater) and we've been talking about me taking a road trip up there to visit her, and bundling that with a few laps up in Portland. She keeps telling me she's gonna kick my *** hehehe. She actually got me started in karts when I was 9, and pushed me into my enthusiasm for racing! If you are up in that area, I'd consider attending one of your events and brainstorming with you hehehe.

ricardon,

You can insinuate and be as sarcastic as you want. You can also talk about as much crap regarding keyboards and monkey as you want. You seem more worked up about it then me.. i dont need acceptance from anyone but apparently you do since you're defending things to the extent of calling people keyboard monkeys. We have a difference in opinion.. is it wrong to have a difference? or must we all think like you and accept whatever you think as right. I have no qualms about being different.. thinking different.. and i stand by my principles hence I AM the odd one here.. but you seem to have a problem with that.. and of course i'll post a reply.. i'm not dead... I'll respond when i'm talked to... get a brain.

BTW, i do care.. if you showed me any respect.. i would have done the same and i would probably apologize just to calm you down... however, your tone and use of words told me you are a person who would inflict hurt on other people's feelings by calling them names so i have no qualms on this debate with you.. and another thing.. if you want to meet me face to face.. come to Brunei.. i drive the only Yellow Evo 7 there and am not hard to find... just ask any one here... Brunei is a small country.. Do not do on to others what you do not want others to do on to you.. a little bit of wisdom for you.
