Excellent!

That 928 driver needs to learn what a race line is...

What a ****. Track days are not about racing each other, they are about having fun with your car, and seeing where the limits are. What a dick!

I saw nothing wrong with that vid.... The driver was just being a bit 'jockular'. He wasn't really trying to hit the guy! We can only pass when waved on by the driver that needs to be passed. It seems that the track has very few passing areas. The guy in the Evo was just making his presence known to the guy in the Porsche so when the next passing zone came up, he could get waved by.

bwt, was that vid shot with a cam previously used in a 1980's rock video? Man, someone has the white turned up waay to much!

I thought the "narrator" (the driver?) seemed a bit insensitive -- I don't see much humor in using the term **** to describe the 928.

The 928 in the video looked like it was probably 20 years old. Give the 928 driver props for taking a virtual antique out to the track -- but V8 or not, he's not going to keep up with a state of the art Evo, nor should he even try. Ever break anything on a 928? Porsche parts and service don't come cheap...

the 928 is a terrible track car...well maybe not terrible, but certainly not choice....its big, its very heavy......
it was designed as a "touring" car.
used to have one.
i liked the car, but track duty was not its intended purpose.

the last autocross i went to there were two 928's there, both tuned like crazy. i have no idea what the mods were but this one 928 was running one of the fastest times there. it was kind of scary watching it zoom past my corner tho that car had LOTS of power and lots of oversteer

i don't see what was wrong with that vid either. that looks like streets of willow w/o the extension going counter clockwise...where there should only be one official passing area which is the long straight(depending on which organization is running the event of course). if anything i would say the driver is entering the corners actually a little early...its all about exit speed guys...but yea...good run =)

These videos don't exactly give me the best impression of this driving club.

My thoughts exactly. The guy has a 4-wheels-off onto soft sand and he's giggling!?

And all that "should I hit the 928" macho b.s. seems out of place in a driving school setting. Very dangerous mindset...and pretty shocking coming from an instructor. If these vids demonstrate the typical driving school enviroment at this club, I'd stay away.

Hmm, yes. A good instructor would be explaining exactly what he's doing, and how to get around the track. Not asking the student if he should hit the car in front of him or not. Yikes.

After going to many Porsche club events, and quite a few in non-Porsche cars, I was quite entertained by the video. I think (hope) it was all in fun (as they were laughing). Also, at PCA evnts, I find that Porsche owners don't like to have anything pass them that's not a Porsche (they don't even like being passed in 944 turbos, since many people feel they are not "real" Porsches), so I've had to make myself quite visible to get by from time to time (even coming into the pits a few times to get out from behind people). If I'm wrong, and they weren't joking as I think they were, then it's a bad attitude...but I hope not.
