JDM IX Rear Bumper Question
mitsubishiparts.net also takes them out of their original mitsubishi box that they come in and ship them in nothing but foam paper. Unless anything has changed this is how mine was shipped. as i said mine was in the last batch that came painted, and arrived beat to hell because it was shipped this way, no box, and not even bubble wrap but foam like paper, and it was only a very thin layer of it at that. when i contacted them they told me to get an estimate of getting it fixed and they would reimburse the money or send it back and wait who knows how long for the next batch which i already waited three months. i would suggest buying elsewhere if mitsubishiparts.net hasn't figured out a better way of shipping... like maybe keeping the bumpers in the boxes they come shipped in.

with a little heat and time most of the dent popped out... not all of it came out due to it being creased across where it has the edge.

I know this a weird and random question but i will be ordering a jdm rear bumper on monday and was wondering what some of you do with the diffuser part? keep it the color the bumper comes unpainted or paint that section black? im sure some people do it differently but i thought i would ask around.

Driveline sells them unpainted now, but still has the same old pictures up. As you can see the silver and the yellow car show the diffuser section in its natural dark plastic color. http://drivelinestore.com/mitsubishi.../i-298836.aspx
Mine fit just fine, but I could not use the same bolts as were on the stock crash beam. I had to use bolts with a smaller diameter head. But those I got off of my old eclipse.
My hardware was the last of my issues. The bar was too long and the ends were bent at the incorrect angle so it hit the body. I had to trim the bar to fit that way. Then I got absolutely no hardware for the license plate lights so I had to fabricate my own mounting brackets for the lights as well as cut out openings for the light to shine through. Overall it was a bad experience with their bar. It also came half painted so I painted it myself.
