Be careful buying parts from the US:
1. Evo VIIs were never sold in the US. We had to wait for the VIII.
2. Not all LHD USDM parts are the same as RHD JDM parts.
Conclusion: if I were you, I'd get my parts from Japan.

Most all of the parts between a 7 and the 8/9 will be compatible. If they're drivetrain or engine parts I'd stick to japan, but suspension arms, coilovers, brakes, body panels, etc., etc. should all be compatible

Most, but not all. And remember, JDM car will also have things like AYC that differ from its USDM cousins. Other things will be different from LHD to RHD.
If you don't have a source for JDM parts (and knowing how many JDM vehicles lurk the former Soviet Union, this sounds like a business opportunity), I'd buy UKDM parts.
