Tuning/Boost/AFR question

My car was tuned several months ago by R/T Tuning in Lansdale PA. It made 430whp @23psi. Turbo is a Garrett GT3582R. I'm running a TiAL 44mm EWG and FIC 1250cc injectors, as well as various other supporting mods.

The car doesn't have any drivability issues, but when I go WOT my AFR's shoot down to the mid-low 10's. Could I safely turn the boost up by 1 or 2 psi to lean it out a bit and get it closer to say, 11.2/11.3? Or would that require a retune?

Also, if I were to turn the boost up, I'd do it through my AEM TruBoost gauge. I don't know how to use it though, so could someone link me to some instructions or something?

Ask your tuner.
What is your timing like at high RPM/load?

I honestly don't know. I'm not very knowledgeable on the tuning side of things. I've only had the car running for about 6 months out of the last 11 that I've owned it. It's my first high-performance vehicle and I haven't really gotten the chance to learn the nitty-gritty yet.

you can try posting this under engine management/tuning for better answers. But yes you are running very rich and higerboost would lean it out.

No it would not just lean it out, it doesn't work like that.

It has to be how your car is tuned. I have tuned plenty of Evos to know, the higher boost means you are hitting higher load cells within the fuel map which depending on how your car is tuned it will determine whether or not it will be lean, rich, or even the same, all tuners have a different style. Cold air is denser and likely the culprit to your car going leaner than it usually would. My car always runs the same boost and afr, we have had weather in the 20s and in the 70s and it doesn't change.

ok thanks. still learing things myself so appreciate the insight. I always just figured more air/boost= leaner. More fuel = richer.

its likely that if your car is not out of injector that as you go up in load that you will stay the same or go richer depending on how your fuel map is laid out. its really a simple process to lean your car out for the tuner. i use truboost to and it works pretty good . those arent bad numbers and if your driveability is good i'd say your tuner is pretty on.
