Evos from canada

I just found out I have family in BC. Has anyone ever bought and registered an evo 4-5-6 from Canada and brought it into the USA? Just wondering about this possibility. Having a Canadian registered vehicle here. I see Canada plates all the time.

Unless the process has changed at a minimum you need a letter from Mitsubishi Cars Canada stating that the vehicle you want to bring into the US passes all auto standards for the US market.

Well I had the idea of registering it still in Canada and driving it home then if need be drive it back for inspection if they still do that. I can get a license and address at my families in Edmonton. It's just a thought but probably not at all possible anyway.

OP Finds out he has family in BC.

*first thought he thinks of is "how can I import an evo using this connection"

Instead of "wow, that's so cool. Can't wait to meet them!"

I've already met them. They visited me here this weekend for my parents 50th anniversary. I'm going to visit them because there is sick snowboarding there and I thought about picking up and evo. Getting my Canadian licence and using their address as my residence and driving it home and back and forth. I won't mind driving 3000 miles in a evo. It would be very fun to find the windiest roads home.
