Snowboard in the backseat?

Gonna take a friend up to Tahoe snowboarding this weekend. I rent up there, but she has her own, so need to figure a way to fit it in the Evo. Anybody tried? will a 5' snowboard somehow fit in the backseat, up sideways, or something? Sticking out the window? I know, I should get a rack.. but not for one trip!!

place it standing from the floor leaning towards the back window...make sure you have a snowboard bag cause it'll cut up what ever it touches back there...good luck

I put the board in nose first under the seat and laid it back toward the rear window.(Move the seat all the way up first). I fit 3 boards with bindings in my Evo just the other day. A 159, 157 and 155.

Another sure way is to put the board in the front passenger seat and strap on the seat belt. Have your friends sit in the back. It sucks for your friends, but it works.

Yeah, you can fit 4 people (that includes the driver) and 3 boards inside. Although your shotgun passenger has to ride up front with their board it can work. We only did it once, then I went out and bought an SUV.

If it's only you two, take out the back seat and postion it from the trunk, and through the V pattern you will see when you take the seat out. just cover it up so nothing gets messed up, then load luggage in the trunk around the board, and whatever is left in the backseat.

No, I think it was a 147 or 48. You have to lay one end of the board down by your feet, and then wedge it between the seat and B-Pillar. Now you know why I bought an SUV. I'll put the EVO in the garage in the winter.

Yes you can put a snowboard in your car, but it has to be under an angle as some of those guys said. I have 157cm long board and I was traveling with it for 120 miles without any damage to the interior. Just put some rugs around the edges and you'll be fine.
