Hey guys im new to the forum but thought id throw my first post out! I bought my Evo IX 3 weeks ago and have now decided to start changing a few things. It currently has an Unknown exhaust 4" tailpipe but it sounds crap and looks cheap. I am now torn between exhausts to replace it with im thinking either HKS Super Drager a Blitz NUR spec or an Apexi. Can anyone shed any light on the benefits of any of these

I recommend HKS HiPower, a nice resonated test pipe, and a 3" downpipe.

 

^^ that is a nice sounding exhaust. you could also get the buschur full turbo back, it sounds awesome too.

 

you described my exhaust to a t. when i first bought my car and saw it i thought "oh crap thats gonna be ratty" its not. no drone medium volume. i love it. great suggestion.

 

Thanks for the input guys I decided to go for the HKS. Had it fitted today. They guy that installed it also fitted a decat pipe and welded a flange so i can put it back on if i want. Its going to be having 272 cams next week and a fresh map so things are moving along nicely

 

Which hks did you go for ?

I am also thinking of the titanium hks exhaust or just the normal super turbo hks exhaust.

 

It is an HKS Super Drager Spec II Cat back with a Titanium End Can I have checked HKS USA and it doesn't look like its available there but is in Japan/Australia

It's not full titanium right ? Did you get any errors after that install or you get a tune straight ?

 

Its running quite lumpy because of the decat. but there was no point in a remap because i am getting HKS 272's and HKS Valve Springs installed next weekend and the guy who is fitting them has a Rolling Road and will Map it for me after the install I am Hoping for around 400bhp after its all done

If you wanna go cheap yet effective still the Tsudo makes a cat back that the quality is still good. Had it for 1.5 yrs now and still looks like new. Sounds good to me
