road cracks slowly absorb oil as it drops from cars, long breaks without rain, the more oil is dropped and absorbed.....upon the first initial sprinkle the oil floats to the surface of the road and sits there until more rain washes it away, hence the slippery road

Probably value the car at what the dealer would sell for in it's condition, sans the accident of course

Yup, sucks real bad. I really loved that car. It will be impossible to find one that checks all the boxes like that one did.

Glad you're okay. Did you lift off throttle when you began loosing control? My ACD really works well, sometimes I found it very frightening the way it works sometimes; lifting off is never progressive-especially when I'm acting like a fool or on autocross, it really digs hard and if I don't commit to a line I feel the rear will snap. ...I don't know its either that or my suspension needs overhaul.

I did lift, then tried to swing the car back straight and probably over compensated

My 05 is equipped with ACD (like any other 05' or 06) it def. has a jekyll attitude about it. At least from what I've seen on the ct9a platform you don't want to countersteer when it begins to slide- Understanding that countersteering involves you throttle blipping on/off OR momentarily taking throttle out like what you see drifters do, you don't want to do this in a evo....its a vectoring awd system and does exactly that -it throws power to slipping wheel. I want to make this clear this only happens when I'm acting a fool on the road going through tight left/or right turn...I've foolishly did this and spun a full 360 when I lifted off when I freaked. The other time I committed and it clawed...luckly I had enough room to claw through.

Buy it back from your insurance and part it out.
