Is there a way to take advantage of the hood vent? Is there like a duct to redirect the airflow to the air filter?

The vent is used to pull heat away from the engine bay. If you want to redirect air try routing an air duct from the front drivers side area of the front bumper or use the factory air box.

 

Evo4-7s had a naca duct on the bonnet which was used to feed an airbox.

I don't know if you can get any of ducts for the evo7.
