Obviously know one knows for sure but it seems like we have a liilte more info as of late.

Do you guys think or know if the evo 8 will have a FMIC like in the picture or will it be moved to the side?

 

Dont know if this is true or not but i spoke with my dealer today and the only 2 things he told me were FMIC and CarbonFiber wing

Front mount intercooler is one thing that the Evo will most definately come with, I gaurantee it!

Yes. It will have fmic, and it will have some carbon fiber parts...only part I know of will be the wing. Who is to say they need to cut costs?! This car sells for the equivelant of 24-25K in Japan. They can improve on things, give us all we want (brembos, recaros, etc), and still sell for around 30k and make plenty of profit.
I was told we will NOT be disappointed and it wasn't from a dealer

 

as long as the price tag doesnt me, one thing its must have are those crazy recaro seats and the brembos are really cool, but not absoulutly necessary, mind you i really like em though.

 

If they bring it over and it is better then the evo 7 and only ~29k then is going to have one hell of a demand for the evo 8 and 9. Not to mention a whole lot full of used wrx's and sti's that were used as a down payment...

 

I think that if it has the full 275+ hp that people are talking about (I think we'll be lucky to see 250 personally), you're gonna need those brembos and those recaros. Without those kinda things, it's not an EVO.

 

Honestly I'd take it no matter how it comes,fully loaded and pricy or cheap and bare, cause I can always mod it out with the extra cash.

 

This is exactly why Mitsu will end up sending over a Lancer Turbo Cedia... because some people just want the EVO name. God help us all.

 

What are you talking about... the basics still have to be there, engine turbo tranny etc. but I can live either way on the cheap sub 1000 items

 

Well, they might give you the cheap version... but not at the price you want. You want all the frills gone AND pay the 30K pricetag? Cuz that's what you're asking for.

 

Basicly I see it like this:

for 30k I should get equivelant to GSR Evo 7 J-spec.
for 25k I should get No AYC brakes recaros etc.

After all the GSR Evo 7 J-spec goes for 25k US equivelant in Japan

 

Man, i can't believe I'm reading this... go back and read a few months worth of posts. I'm glad you know the JDM prices, but, from what has been announced, that is NOTHING like what they are offering. If they give us anything less than the full blown, it's gonna be at that 30K pricetag.
