Car having issues starting.

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble with my car. I searched over and over on here but everyone else seems to have a starting issue but it's usually a bad battery. My problem is I have a brand new battery 4 months old. What happens is when I turn the ignition on, everything works fine. When I go to turn the engin the starter makes one clicking noise and it stops If I jump the car it fires right up. I was told by my mechanic it's a bad starter because they tried powering it up out of the car and it only comes out half way but when I took my starter to autozone to get it tested they told me the starter is fine. Has anybody else had the same problem and came up with a solution? My car has 44k miles
Thanks in advance and I apologize if I'm asking a question that's been asked a lot before.

maybe that will help. I was having problems starting my car as well and tried this and now its starts up every time. Seems to be a common problem.

Ok little update on the starter. So I finally found a shop that could actually rebuilt my OEM Evo 9 starter. What he told me was the starter itself was in a great condition. He said that it was my solenoid that was bad.he replace the solenoid and wala it fires right up. And the cost was only 60 dollars.

Stupid starter

Hey guys I'm back with my stupid starter problem. So my car was doing just fine with the new solenoid for about a week. Now I'm getting the same damn problem. One click and no start. I took the steering colom off to make sure everything is hooked right everything checks out. Again my battery is now 5 months old. When I put my car In second gear and rock it back and forth sometimes it fires right up and sometimes it doesn't. Can somebody please help me solve this issue. It's drivinge up the wall.banghead

Thanks in advance

Here is the video of what it's doing. I did check the wire connections at the ignition switch buzzin IX. If it's the ignition wires why would it start when I rock it back and forth in gear. Man this is flustrating.

Looks like the actual key cylinder is worn out. Replace it.

Try playing around with the key. I have a similar issue and if I push up on the key and turn it will crank. I was told this was the ignition switch issue which I will be replacing soon. I also had to rock the car back and forth to start before too until I found out about pushing up on the key to start the car.

I do have an aftermarket alarm. But when I arm the alarm the kill switch kills the whole thing I don't even hear a click. But when dissarmed it does that. I ordered a ignition switch I'll try it to see if that's the issue. If not I'll return it and look for more problems. If you think it's the alarm why when I rock the car back and forth sometimes it starts? I mean even if it's the ignition switch. Man I'm so confused .

Ok so I replace the ignition switch and it started ok for about 5 times I turned my headlights on to see if it would start because when I do that it almost Doesn't start all the time and it started clicking again.what I noticed was that my fule pump got louder with the new ignition switch. Again I put it in secound rock the car it started up again. I went to autozone they load test the battery and it's fully 100 percent charged. Oh I also disconnect the turbo timer to see if that was the issue but still no go. What else u guys think it might be? Could the alarm just reduce power that goes to the starter to just make it click once and not engage? Also my next step is too check my grounds anybody has a diagram or knows where the ground are located? I see 3 in the engine bay are those it?
Thanks guys. I really appreciate it.
