Stall, wouldnt start, got it running..check engine
Okay evo guys..My evo stalled on me this morning at a stop sign and then turned off. I had to tap the starter to get it to start and now I have a check engine light on. I havent been able to scan it yet to see exactly what code it is. But the idle was low even for having cams and it was sluggish. I am thinking maybe a misfire? Anyone have anything similar to this happen to them?

So I replaced the starter today...no change. It gets power...fuel pump is going...just nothing in the starting issue...code was cleared when I pulled the battery cables to change the starter...and still nothing...do you guys think I should just swap out the original thing the code popped for..the crank angle sensor..I searched a little and it looks like I'll have to take off the timing belt cover to get to it..anyone with some experience in this area or had this issue any advice would be greatly appreciated..thanks everyone!
yes you will have to since its located right behind crack pulley there you will have to take cover off and crank pulley but then you will have to make sure that your Timing Marks match up for cams and crank when you putting everything back if you never had experience i would not do it my self take it to a shop that familiar with evos or i can help you do it since your located in NY message me
