e85 FP Black on Single Walboro 450?
So i just purchased a JB FP Black i got FIC 1050's and a walbro 450, i was tuned on E85 on stock 9 turbo after I install the black a lot of people were telling me to tune to 93 to keep the tq because as we know our motors don't like high tq high hp stock block. I've seen some post some eve's with same mods making 480/420ish on E85. How did you keep your tq low? also who were you tuned by?
Your 1050's will be holding you back, at a minimum I would run 1450's. But heck with that just get 2150's and be done with it
Boostin performance tuned my car. Keeping the torque down is all in the tune. I'm using a 3 port grimmspeed. I'm going for more power and keeping the torque the same. For this to happen you need hybrid boosting. Which is a 3port and a manual boost controller. I am not tuned on 93, I will be before winter hits just to prevent clogging and corrosion. Make sure you get your injectors cleaned atleast 2-3 times a year.

shows the new walbro 400 lph, the numbers look decent but it seems it can't compare to the 340 lph.

I currently have a hallman manual boost controller and I have full bolt ons tuned on E85 by STM, I'm only looking to make 470whp and keep the tq low will my injectors be able to do that or will I max them? I'm trying to be tuned on 93 after my install of fp black because I will be driving a lot for shows and meets this year and E85 isn't to popular around here.

The 400 and the 450e85 are two different pumps. Thanks though...

I've got a double pumper with 1650s waiting to gonin with a built motor... got everything as a set with an FP Black... but later the plan was for a 6466... without hijacking the thread, just wanted to get a feel for what people are running for fuel systems and how far its getting them. I think FPRs are also worth while...? if you need a little extra, over driving the injectors a little is a cheap option.
