Evo 8 with 130k miles on it.

Every once in a while I'll be driving and pull up to a stop light and the rpms will dip and it will start missing like crazy and act like its going to die.

I was running BR8ES but thought maybe they were fouling out so I switched to BR7ES and the same thing happened. Now I'm running IGR7ES which is what the PO had in it when I bought it.

I cleaned the MAF, the IACV is like new, air filter is good.

I'm thinking coils maybe? I really don't know what the deal is i will try to post a video soon but it's starting to worry me. I have good compression all around its mostly stock with bolt ons.

 

How is the boost leak test?

 

BLT went well tightened a few things up and got a slight leak out of the TB but honestly it's pretty sealed up. I thought it was a boost leak at first too.

 

when i bought my evo it was idling rough and doing the same things...it ended up being that one of the injectors wasn't seated properly...the rubber ring was cracked from the previous owner not reinstalling them correctly
