So guys i got my evo 7 2 months ago i didnt think that the transmission was bad till i went to get a hks stage 1 upgrade they told me that my transmission was bad and wenrt giving the dezired power :/ and yes i cant feel the power anymore maybe if im lucky it will sneak in..but for now even when im on 2-3k rpm and let go of the acc it feels like my car will stall for about a quick 2 seconds drops down to 400 rpm then right back upp . So today went to the shop for the mother just as im about to leave put my fooot on the peddle on first gear just about 6k rpm it almost felt like i was aboout to swallow the transmisson thanks god i just change to second gear and drove home safely .. ( so if anyone knows what problem i have what i have to do whats best to do any advice ( im a nooob still ) ( triptonic transmission btw ) thanks guys !

 

What does it mean to swallow the transmission? If you are not getting power and the RPM goes up faster than normal then it is likely the clutch and not the transmission. Also, can you slow down in your post and use shorter sentences because it is impossible to understand.

 

I dont think anyone else on here has a triptonic transmission on their Evo....

 

Might want to call 911....

 

It's an EVO VII. Yes you could get them in a slapomatic slushbox

Sounds like the trans to me.

Maybe time for a rebuild. Joys of buying a secondhand sports car
