Continental Poly 4060705 wont fit

So I never did my serpentine belt with my 60k and there's a bit of noise coming from the area so I figured I swap it out. The Original Belt came off and went back on perfectly, there was about a finger of slack in the original belt with the tensioner completely released. The tensioner goes to about 50% of the total when the original belt is fully tight.

Reading around the forums and online says the belt needs to be 71.5" outer and 70.5 inch inner diameter. (4060705 is thrown around on evom a bit)

I ordered this belt:
Amazon.com: Continental Elite 4060705 Poly-V Belt: Automotive Amazon.com: Continental Elite 4060705 Poly-V Belt: Automotive
and the belt is just a tad too tight. With the tensioner completely loose and a rod through locking it "open" the belt won't fit around the system. Its roughly an inch short or so.

I tried rotating the crank to fit it on and the belt jumped off the alternator pulley. I even tried to put the belt on all the pulleys with the lip and then slide it over the rollers and it still wont go on.

This website says the effective length of the belt is 70.5", which seems right, but the ****ing thing wont go on http://www.veyance.com/ProductsDetail.aspx?id=3128

I ordered the 4060715 (
Amazon.com: Continental Elite 4060715 Poly-V Belt: Automotive Amazon.com: Continental Elite 4060715 Poly-V Belt: Automotive
) maybe this will work, ill report back when it comes in.

K060705 is indeed the correct belt for the evo platform.

Make sure you're routing the belt correctly. Follow the diagram below

Continental Poly 4060705 wont fit

My car needed a 715 length belt. I got an OEM belt from the dealer, and the same thing you're going through happened. Returned the belt to the dealer, went to Oreillys and bought a gates belt that what was the next size up from the 705 they listed, which was the 715. Fits perfect with plenty of tension..

Yeah I'm 100% sure I had it routed correctly, I pulled off the original belt and replaced it a dozen times.

Maybe some evos were made with a different sized roller/pulley? I've seen several comments scattered throughout serpentine belt threads saying the 705 belt wont fit.
