I don't understand how your rates are so high. I was paying full coverage on the Evo when I was 21 and paying full coverage. It was around 150-200 a month. I live in the tampa area.

I had a wet/reckless when I was about 27yo or so. Even then, my insurance was "only" $200/mo.

I don't know what to tell you. I can't really do anything, even though I wish I could. Sucks to say that I have cash at hand and insurance is just destroying me.
Evo dreams ruined.
Thank once again for the replies again, kept me going for that little 6 month period of hope😆

Will this be the first time you being on insurrance or have you had insurance prior? If you're new then yea the rate are going to be kinda high until you get a few years under your belt.

i say register and insure under someone else's name. if you are trustworthy, of course LOL.

i.e. my insurance covers my car no matter who is driving.

Yes, I know. My mom did that with the corolla when her credit was garbage a few years ago. I'm thinking about It

the downside is like having someone take a loan out for you: they get all the credit for you being on time and responsible but they pay if you mess up.

it's best to start with a cheap car to build credit and a clean driving record history... but what fun is that? LOL

I can't build my credit yet since I don't have a credit car, and like you said. I rather it be with a car that has minimal risk. So all I need to do us find someone trustworthy. I'm meeting up with a family friend tommorow, so I'll ask him.

i started buy buying a $1,200 car. i financed it for two years just to build credit. i was working part-time at a pizza place, so it was within my budget. my APR was 21% but i had no credit history, so had to start somewhere LOL.
with my Evo i got up to 60mos if i wanted and a 3% interest rate. but i had to start somewhere. rates have gone down, so i could do even better now.

i can't imagine how much i would have paid had my first car been an Evo

good luck, dude! hopefully it works out for ya.

Your 15 with no job DO NOT BUY AN EVO. You have no idea of what it costs to own something. You see the initial price and that's it but what you don't realize is what will it cost WHEN it breaks not IF it breaks. You should go buy yourself a domestic car that's simple to get parts like Chevy trucks etc. You can't afford the insurance either evo is not a good choice for a beginner driver.

There's a 12yr old racing his dad's McLaren at half-mile events. There ate no age requirements. 😀

that too is ridiculous. if I talked about getting an evo at 15 my dad would have smacked me in the back of the head and told be to hit the books. yes I think certain things require you to be a certain age. Are you telling me a 12-15 year old kid has the same reflex, experience and is responsible enough to respect the capabilities of such powerful cars? lets just let them have guns too I'm sure they can handle it.

LOL

I'm not saying any of that. I'm saying there are no age requirements for buying cars.

Also, my son shot his first gun at 15. He did just fine.
