Thank you for the info here.

Question;
are these specs for the US versions only?

As for myself,
i have the evo 8 GSR 2003 mod,
but its Japanese.
And it has the 6 speed gearbox.

Hi, it is for US version only. As far as I know, the 6 speed gearbox wasn't around that early in the Evo run, so I would bet your 6 speed was swapped in.

All right, i see.

I was assured from the importer it was completely stock, i reacted on the 6 speed as well.
However i will get original technical docs from manufacture on the car (need them to get Norwegian plates) from Mitsubishi, once i have them i will update on the thread.

I have a question regarding the options packages. I'm trying to sell my '05 Evo VIII GSR with the SSL package. In doing my research I didn't see many Evos with this options. Easiest way to tell is the leather Recaro seats. Would this add much to the asking price for my car?

Not really unless someone wanted that specific package. It may get an extra $500-1K from the right person. Some people like the leather and sunroof. Others hate it. Many don't care either way.

Thanks, kpt6, that's good info. I'll make a point of listing it in the specs but probably won't add to the asking.

AustEvo, it doesn't work if you don't capitalize the letters. Also, it seems the site does not work on occasion. Just try again at another time and it should work fine. Also, I think it only works for USDM cars, so if you don't have a USDM Evo, it may not work at all.

Thanks for the info...My USDM 05 MR in apex silver is now sold/gone but never forgotten....... Was there a 250/250/250/250 production breakdown on the four colours for that year MR?

If so then mine was 1 of 250 built......that is rare car exotic territory :-)

^They never released info about paint colors. GG would likely be the most common 05 USDM MR color. WW likely the next most common for that year/model. AS likely after that. RR much rarer than the others.

How many Y01 LY GSRs were made in 2003
with the moonroof? That's what I'd like to know specifically.

^ Mitsu never gave production numbers for the Evo by color. FWIW, 2003 was the most common Evo 8 model year. Lots of LY were made. It for sure is rarer than a 2003 AS or 2003 TB though. Also it was more common to have a moonroof than not, on a 2003 Evo.
