Issue: idle's at 2000rpm (built 2.3L that idles at 1250-1300 Normally). If i keep brake applied, put in gear, start releasing clutch so engine starts dying, and if i get it to regular idle 1300ish, it will idle there no problem. If drive or rev it up, it'll come back and sit at 2000.

Checked vac lines, hoses, licp, uicp. Just started doing this not long ago. Im going to say its not tune, because i've driven on it for some time now and car is inside a garage were temps are good. Car isn't seeing cold weather, so tune should be ok.

Just looking for some idea's.
I cleaned out the throttle body, so that should be off the list.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Id give it a whirl.

My IACV **** the bed on me halfway through time attack. It stayed at 2k rpms and sometimes dropped but raised to 2k after. Sounded like a 2k RPM 2 step lol.

Replace the IACV

Buy OEM. $300 or so

I went through 2 eBay ones and 1 from Amazon (may as well be the same thing). eBay one died after about three months, got a new one sent to me. That one lasted maybe two weeks, I got a refund for the purchase. Bought an Amazon one, lasted another few weeks, got refunded for that and bought OEM.

Definitely the idle air control valve had the same issue when I owned my Srt4 car would fluctuate from 2000-4000 rpm at a stop sign
