This filter as seen in many turbo feed lines provided by companies like FP and MAP. Do you need to change the filter as you would the normal oil filter?

If so, how many miles in between changes?

I change mine every 10k. If I saw something suspect in my oil I would change it then, has not happened yet. But if you daily and put a lot of miles on your car I would do it every 20k.

FP recommends you inspect/clean it every oil change.

The elements are $2.50 a piece-i would just replace it.

 

The housing comes apart, you take the filter out and spray it out with brake cleaner..

 

I have an XRP 10 micron filter I believe. I can't find the element piece anywhere
