Any Evo's Running the One Lap of America?
Any Evo's Running the One Lap of America?
I am hoping with a year of tuning and all these dyno graphs, we'd get to see someof that put to good use! I'm going to go to the Hallet event at least a spectator unless I can dig up enough sponsorship funding to cover the tires, fuel and such to drive. But it's not a priority this go round.

Are the folks who ran last year not running this year, or running something other than an Evo?

I'll be at the OneLap Track school (Beaver Run) in my Corrado on April 3 (not doing the 2 day, just one day). I'd love to use the EVO but can't risk it with the family car...
If any of you are going (there is still room), stop by and chat with me.

Yah this years event seems more like a recipe for lots of misery..

5628 Miles in 9 days + circuit racing time/miles. The Pikes Peak to Infineon Leg of 1327 Miles in 24 hours means nonstop driving for nearly 48 hours. No time even for a flat tire and especially not any mechanical problem.. Race, drive 1327 Miles and Race immediately again. No sleep, or a race driver who sleeps between events and a route driver who tries to sleep at the track.. that leaves a lot of very tired folks doing a lot of lengthy driving..

I bet I'll get a lot of pictures of sleepy folks at Hallet.

I'd much rather run the OTC on the west coast. Much better track time:highway time ratio. The Targa Newfoundland is what I'd really love to do. About 1000 km of all-tarmac rally racing. You can run it as a performance rally or as a TSD event. I understand there haven't been any Evos yet...
