Evo 7 body kit

So I'm looking into getting an Evo 7 but just not a huge fan of the body. Are you able to put a full Evo 9(bumpers, skirt, wing) kit on without any major work?

The Evo 8 was the first evo to come to the US so its going to be hard/$$$ to get a legal 7 here. But if you do get a 7, yes the 8/9 bumpers will bolt right up.

I thought the final year of the 7 was a US sold car as well? The one I'm looking at is a 03 Evo 7.

Nope. Evo 8 came to the US in 2003. Are you sure its not a typo? If the car has an OEM 7 front bumper and hood you could likely find someone with an 8/9 bumper and hood of the same color to swap with you. Some people like the look of the 7 more.

Post (or PM me) the link of the ad and I can likely tell you what it really is.

If it is LHD with a 50 states legal VIN, buy it. Its a unicorn. Would be a shame to remove the bumper though, better to leave it stock. How much is the asking price?

Well it definitely has a rare factor that probably justifies a few grand over a comparable 8. That said, at 21k you are getting close to Evo 9 money. Maybe see if he will take $20k.

Where is the car located? Can you actually see it/test drive it? I would take a real close look at the VIN and maybe even double check it with Highway Patrol. Not saying it isn't legit, just saying be careful.

If the car is in the PNW, I would love to take a look at it with you (don't worry I have no need for another evo). I just like the older model evos.

Doesn't sound legit to me, I'd be checking the VIN to find out exactly what it is.
The Evo 7 GSR was made in 01 with a few RS models and the GTA in 02. I'm not in the US but I've never heard of the 7 going to the US.

Whats the actual manufacture date including month. Would be odd to be releasing the 8 and 7 at the same time.

If it's a legit 7 the 9 body kit isn't a direct bolt on either. you need a couple of extra

bonnet is different and has to be a VIII or IX bonnet as the VIII and IX nose is longer
Headlights are the same
Undertray is different
when changing front end make sure to get all the meshes (they are all individual meshes and part numbers)
make sure you get the reo as it will be different
Number plate bracket will be different
Oil cooler duct is different

A few LHD 7s did actually come to the US. There is a member on these forums with a red LHD RS2 7.

I'd like to see a link to this car, or some pics or something. The 7's were originally supposed to come to the US, but they didn't. There is no such thing as a USDM EVO 7. The 8 was the first car in the US.
