No brake, press or roller, how is that possible? It is interesting how much it changes the look of the car. I like it.

Quite amazing if your not in the fab trade, did you reinforce the under ? Are you going to shape it with some filler and paint it?

Looks like something you would find in the bat cave.

I'm going to re shape the front some more still, a lot of the curves are straight weld joints. I Tig weld for a living but this was still quite difficult to maintain body lines, yes the bottom is reinforced quite well and weights about the same as the stock hood. I'll post some more pics as I come closer to finishing.

I'll finish it and if I don't like it better than stock I'll change it, the vents should be as functional as stock since they'll be pulling directly from the two front vents

I think the reason for the hole in the hood is the air coming in through the grill and pressurizing the engine compartment. If it leaves by way of the bottom as on most cars this causes lift.

The vent on the stock hood is a giant heat vent, it's there for a reason. underhood temps would be significantly higher without it

do you really think mitsubishi went with the design for the styling or cool looks? the vortex generator has like a 40-page document just on it and the science and testing behind it

I agree with both of those, like the gt40 the vents create downforce while diverting hot air from the exhaust manifold, these vents are set up to pull hot air from the manifold on the passenger side and hot air from the half radiator on the drivers side. I didn't mean to sound arrogant in my last post either, I love genuine input, anything besides "haters". its definitely a work in progress so I'll change and adapt it as need be. Thanks for the input guys!

good news is you actual have genuine thought into it as opposed to just "put big vents in"

what about the hot air trapped in the middle from the turbo / manifold?

Love seeing people fabricating their own things not just following the pack. Definitely need more pics including any progress pics if you have them.
I don't think you would have an issue with heat. There is a huge amount of air going into the engine bay from the front and then the vents would create a low pressure system at the top. The air should circulate quite nicely

There's room for another vent in the middle in the back that would be for the most part concealed, yeah I got a few more pics I'll throw them up as soon as I can
