If you can that would be great. Im not feeling any vibration. Its mostly the engine being loud.

Ah that sounds really weird... like a race of miniature aliens decided to colonize in your exhaust flange lol.

Alas, it sounds nothing like mine.

I was doing my oil change and I put my light up on the part where the windshield wipers are and I noticed that the plastic cover was very loose. Secured it and it went away. It wasn't as loud yours though.

If I was you, go through your engine bay and underneath the car and wiggle things around before tearing into the engine. Good luck and let us know what you find!
Thanks for the encouragement! Right now my car is getting snowed in. May have to investigate later this week.

Anyone who has had their timing off experience similar sounds?

Just an update if anyone cares, ended up my car had no balance shaft but the crank pulley was starting to go. After replacing that, it resolved the issue.

Sorry, didn't see page two. When you say crank pulley was starting to go do you mean the rubber? Years ago that was a problem on the 4G63 but I thought they fixed it.

I have no idea, I took it to a mechanic and he said it was the crank pulley, I should have asked what specifically broke.

He just replaced it with a new OEM one. My car sounds like this currently:
It still has more resonance than a engine with a balance shaft, but its so much better now.

Torque everything down, start with heats shield if you have one on , then turbo bolts, then go down the exhaust and check all the bolts are tight, I had a noise like that it was 1 bolt on the racing cat I had was coming lose.

Don't believe we ever checked the undercarriage, but the noise for the most part has been resolved.

Doesn't mean that there isn't a loose bolt somewhere though.
