Exclamation Another gauge mounting option!

I fashioned this mount for my upcoming A/F wide band gauge. It fits the ashtray. The gauge I have there is an old Autometer Boost gauge that I dropped so it's bent on the rim and does not work, however it's ideal for a mock up....

He said the boost gauge was just for measurements. For something such as A/F I could see this being very efficient and clean. But whateva floats yer boat

Well, whenever you take your eyes off the road there is an element of danger.... Have you tried taking a look to various locations? I agree that the pillar might be easier to see without taking your eyes from the road too much, but I'm not sure of it. Seems like I remember the pillar being as distracting as anywhere else.... Anyway, when I look at gauges, my attention from the road is diverted no matter where the gauge is located.....

I did the same thing for my EVC V control unit. I made it so I could remove if I wanted.

It's stainless steel sheet I got at Lowes. Cut and bent. Put 6mm vacuum line on the ends to hold in place, polished it and put velcro on to hold unit.

Here's a shoot with it removed.
Pretty simple but looks good.

I was about to say

Why do you need two boost guages?

The boost gauge in the ashtray is just for mock-up purposes (I needed a 52 mm gauge to make the mount). The gauge which will go there is the AEM wide band O2 controller display when it finally arrives.....

I like it, it's simple and effective. Another good thing about is that's not permanent. I hate to drill and cut holes into the car.... I like the idea of something that's easily removed and leaves no trace.
