Guage pod Idea

Has anyone ever tried to mount guages where the two top vents are in the middle and moving the hazard lights and clock. I thought this would be a good location because it keeps it off of the top of the dash and also pretty close to eye level.

Where are you that you can sacrifice those vents? That would be certain death here in the summer.

well im not saying that you have to give up the vents or even both but im sure there is a way to maybe cut the vent size down and or remove the passenger one (dont care about them let them die of heat stroke) or have the air come around the guages.
