Question Check engine light

I would like to hear from people that modified their EVOS and, as a result, ended up with the check engine light problem. Was it resolved, and what steps did you take to pass the emission test. Love to hear from anyone with similar problem.

I see you are from Chicago.at smog stations they looking for codes. It all depends what mods do you have. For example if you deleted your egr you can take your car to evo performance shops and they can fix your ecu and you wil have no problems again. But it could be simple stuff what triggers your cel. You need to scan it first and pull the codes. I have no cat and egr system but it's taken care of. 2 months ago I passed in Addison on E85 lol

Good to know. I sometimes get a miss fire when I first start the car. I think that's one or the errors. once it warms up it runs great. My car was built by AMS. I took it back and were not able to eliminate the problem. The first test, I had it flashed filled it with E85 and passed. they gave me a hard time due to missing idioms as they called it " non-supported systems" I am sure they were talking about my missing EGR. it comes out on the spreadsheet with 3 " non-supported system readings. I put the cat back also mainly for noise. I was getting too may ticket, and it was a good thing. In Chicago, they check for missing cats. I should try to find a friendly station.
I know the test is coming up so I just want to get ready for it. I LOVE MY CAR I might have to register it outside cook county.

I got bolt ons and passed a star smog . I did put the cat back on due to the code for the rear o2 sensor. And the stock box and that's it. They didn't use the sniffer. It was all visual and codes. Hope that helps. This is in california by the way.
