I want your guys input on whether or not this tick/tap is the lifters or Rod knock

It taps under 2k rpms but after that no tick or tap

Thats lifters it was a rod you would know it

 

Sounds like lifters. They are inexpensive to change out, so I would go that route and see what happens.

There is actually a procedure for cleaning the lifters. You basically soak them in diesel fuel and pump them with the relief valve pressed in so fluid can flow through them. Basically like bleeding them but submerged in diesel. Then bleed them out and re-install. Also make sure you line up the hole on the side of the lash adjuster with the oil passage in the head when you re-install them.
