This is my third evo ix purchase
Hey what's up folks. I just bought a 2006 evo ix mr with graphite grey. I had previously owned a silver evo ix that was keyed all around, and a black evo ix that had 150k miles on it. So far this evo ix mr is my favorite one. I didn't have plans to purchase another evo after I sold my black one but couldn't help it and scoured craigslist daily. I was looking at upgrading to a evo x but was hesitant due to my type of work and also didn't really need a car. I have my spare van to drive around daily. One day I came upon a craigslist posting with a evo ix mr grey with 100k miles on it for lets just say a ridiculous cheap price. The great part was he was within my neighborhood. We exchanged conversations and he gave me the address to his house. I walked over to his house and turned out to be a really great looking evo. I gave him an offer and next thing you know I have a evo in the front of my house. The price was so cheap that I couldn't help but to purchase it. Let's just say it wasn't anything near the $20k or even $15k price that you guys pay for. He had explained to me that the evo was given to him by his father 10 years ago for a graduation present. He didn't know anything about cars and didn't even care if it was a civic hence the asking price was so low. He was shocked to find so many people interested in the evo. Anyway here is a pic of my new baby
Glad to be back in he game guys. Def loving the stock bilstein compared to my last evo with stance coilovers. I personally hate coilovers as they ride to ruff. If was so ruff that my girlfriend looked like a clown after putting on makeup
Next time = Ohlins. You got the car cheap enough...now you can afford them.
They ride even better than the Bilsteins!

Well he did have tight pants on like those emo kids. I'm just glad he didn't mod the car. My last evo had stupid speakers running under the carpet, deck wires chopped and put back with electrical tape, and the freakin hood was carbon fiber but was fading from the engine heat. I saw missing bolts and nuts all over. Hated that so much
Good find, OP, but be cautious when someone whose owned a modified Evo for the last 10 years tells you "it could have been a Civic for all I care."
Totally understand. Thing is I know a lot about cars. I previously had a 240sx with a rb25 swap that I did myself. The wiring harness I cut and rewired myself. I knew the car was healthy by listening to it and Looking at all the right places. I have had the car for a week now and it runs great

congrats on the new car. Enjoy it
