wanting to buy my first evo... help!
been a lurker for a long time... and definitely an evo dreamer since a kid...
always wanted one since i saw the 5 (i was living overseas).. now that im 38 and that i can afford it, im looking to getting into an 8 or 9 - preferably a 9 though.
best would be a ww 9 with low miles that will fit the budget, but not sure if thats even realistic with a 25k budget.
anyway, what are your thoughts on this car?? anybody here knows who owned or built it before?

Car is clean .but first ask if title is clean, call evolution dynamic and talk about that car.title says big turbo 600 +hp but dyno chart shows 530.what turbo exactly was on the car bc now you can't see what turbo is on the car , could be stock 9. Gl
looks like a fp red or fp black could be fp zero turbo if you look at the picture its missing a tag that states what turbo it is i would test drive it with someone that owns a evo and knows car so he /she can check the car for noises etc

That said, $25,000 will get you a nice, unmolested, low mileage Evo IX if you are patient enough. If you only want white, obviously it's going to take longer as you limit your options that much more.
Make sure the Carfax is clean - yes, this costs $30. Make sure the car looks like it has been taken care of. Get a good feel of the clutch, check wiring in engine bay, receipts of previous work/maintenance, last oil change, last fluids change, brand of aftermarket parts (if any), who tuned the car (if any), who installed the parts (if any), and if it has an aftermarket turbo/engine work, find out exactly why; a lot of people in the Evo community buy these cars to make them monsters, but a lot of Evos became monsters after the block ended up with a hole in it.
Same things you would look for in any sports car that is known to be beat on and modified...so, everything.
I'll try to get a hold of evo dynamics - see if they know anything about this car. Thanks sir!

Not sure if I'll be able to do that since I'm in vegas.. not in a rush really but I think if that car checked out good it would have been a good buy. Thanks sir!
Not sure that I would buy a vehicle off eBay unless I was close enough to look at it or was buying a car that I knew I would be tearing apart anyways.

But I think it would be a good keeper

If you have your heart set on a WW 9, then buy a WW 9. With a 25K budget, you can find a nice one, just have to search nationally.
