mine works fine. also, if you release the e-brake, the car shuts down.

yeah mine too keyless entry still works fine, but if a skilled thief tries to drive away he can with the e-brake partially up like 1 click but i think the steering wheel locks. the only feature you loose is that the car does not automatically shut off headlights if you leave them on.

No, I thought this also, but there are three reasons why this is not the case. 1) if you drop the e-brake the car will die. 2) the steering wheel is still locked. 3)the electronically encoded key is still needed to re-start the car if they don't get this done in 1:30.

the only way i can see that this is an issue is if they can break into your car and disable the ignition swith and get the switch in the on position before the car shuts off then drop the e-brake and go. This is iff you have no aftermarket alarm which makes it even tougher!

I went with the blitz fatt. works nice, plug and play just don't worry about the white wire on the harness and hook up the ground 30minute job there are some nice writups on it. (edited, accidently said ground white wire, dont do that!)

Off subject, but
Just wanted to say that your lights will shut off automatically. Just give it a little time. I leave mine on all the time.

yeah my lights used to shut off automatically, before i installed the turbo timer. if i turn the timer off the lights shut off automatically. the first time i left them on after installing the timer i was away from the car for 30min and came back and they were still on.

Alarms and all that are great, but If someone wants your car they can flatbed it in seconds and deal with it later.
If you want an alarm for cool features like remote start and window roll up and all that other craziness have at it, but to me it's a false sense of security at this point. The great technology used to protect your car is also available to steal it.

kinda late, but another pic.

I set mine to like 40-50 secs. By the time I walk away from the car, it shuts off. And yes, your car can be stolen no matter what. The blitz is great. small. When I park in my garage, I usually just shut it off when I get out since i have to drive through an alley slowly to park.
