whats the quietest 3inch exhaust setup

hey guys so i have an 03 evo 8 and i bought it with a 3 inch straight pipe setup. it is certainly gonna get me a ticket daily driving so im looking at some options.

my ideas include running two vibrant 3 inch resonators in the midpipe and installing a apexi ws2

installing a hks hi power silent but this sees pricey and hard to find.

and last but not east going to a stock exhaust setup.

any help would be great thanks!

Or the MAP exhaust with the Varex muffler. I've been thinking with putting one of those on my Buschur exhaust.

I've got the Greddy Evo 2 exhaust on mine and it's pretty quiet as well.

Another for Tanabe Medallion Touring. I've tried several exhausts, its been the quietest. I wouldn't say dead silent, but I don't have a cat either. With a cat in there in it is probably as close to stock as you'll get. No other system I've tried was anywhere near as quiet.

I had the BR exhaust with the magnaflow muffler. It had a deeper sound and wasn't too loud

Yeah with a cat the Tanabe is quiet. Also running a test pipe, a little louder but doesn't drone at all

I know the Tanabe exhaust I had would neck down to 2.5", but it was quiet. You also have to be careful because some companies really restrict things inside the muffler as a way to reduce the noise which restricts hp output. RRE makes a quiet catback that's mostly two 3" resonators and a straight through muffler, but it's not much lighter than stock. WORKS made one that was quiet too, I think theres one for sale in classified section.

Another +1 for the Tanabe Touring Medallion. I painted the can black and left the tip polished and it looks nearly OEM and sounds great. I'm catless as well and it is still a little loud but probably the best you're gonna get in a 3" IMO. Absolutely no droning from mine.

Magnaflow street exhaust. Very similar to stock. Had it, sold it. Too quiet for me.
