JDM rear fitment issues

I got a JDM rear installed after I was rear-ended and I'm not happy with the fitment. I was wondering if anyone with experiencing installing these bumper has seen the issues I'm seeing and if they have any solutions.

I was hit on the drivers side rear end at fairly high speed. The car drives great so I'm pretty sure the frame and everything is straight...

Some backstory:
I was rear-ended over 2 months ago and elected to spend some money out of pocket and go with a JDM rear. The accident involved the trunk floor getting pushed in and unibody alignment. I got the car back a few weeks ago and wasn't happy with the fitment at all. There was a huge gap between the left tail and other gap issues. I brought it back to the body shop and they made improvements, but I'm still not 100% happy.

Here are some pictures:

This is the drivers side. The bumper is not completely flush with the quarter panel. The fender slightly overhangs the bumper causing a shadow on the bumper if the sun is at the right angle.

The gap between the quarter panel and the bumper is also not perfect.

Driver's side again. The bumper doesn't stay flush with the taillight.

Passenger's side. The bumper doesn't stay flush with the taillight.

Passenger's side again. I'm not happy with the gap. The bumper is pretty much touching the quarter panel.

Can these issues be fixed?

so you got hit on the rear of the car, and now after it was repair the new jdm bumper you got doesn't fit?

seems like the issue at hand here is pretty obvious. take it back to the shop and have them fix it until you're happy.

I don't see why you're spending any money on this though. the other person's insurance should be covering all damages.

I was running a USDM bumper when I was hit. I had to pay out of pocket because they only gave me money for a reconditioned USDM bumper ($460). A new USDM bumper is around the same price as a JDM bumper ($620). I argued (I screamed) with State Farm that they should be giving me money for a new bumper, but they basically said it's a 10 year old car and I should screw myself.

I also agree that the shop should fix it, but I'm at my wits end. Dealing with this shop is giving me ulcers. I don't think their capable in fixing it up to my standards. They had the car for over 2 months and then I brought it back and they had it for another week and still didn't fix it properly...

There are few reasons why I'm in a bad position:
  1. I didn't go to State Farm shop. No one told me (State Farm included) that if I wasn't happy with the repair State Farm wouldn't help me because it was a State Farm certified shop... I went to this shop based on the recommendation of someone on this forum...
  2. The JDM rear, although OEM, really is not meant for the USDM evo. The fact that the shop had to modify the crash beam makes it hard for me to argue that it's not fitting correctly.

they possibly didn't modify the crash beam correctly. there are aftermarket ones that are way smaller than the original ones. the thing with modification is that it takes a few tries to get right. sucks, and I hope you get it fixed, but it's not that bad. I did look at my bumper after reading this, and the taillights are flush, and the gaps are almost the same on the sides.

You need to tell State Farm to pound sand and get a new Insurance company... Take it up to Corporate and keep complaining. Sometimes with stuff like this they'll give in after a while if you keep *****ing and threaten to leave their agency.

That's what I'm thinking... The strange thing is they said they installed the JDM rear before on another evo...

Unfortunately State Farm is the insurance of the person who hit me so I really don't have that kind of leverage..

They basically said you didn't go to a State Farm shop so you're on your own...
