What is this resistor for?
Thank you for confirming.
Next big question though, can I jumper the wires and eliminate it since I'm running a Walbro?
I know in my Jeep days the Cherokees had these and we just bypassed them, they were only for pump noise reduction.

Yeah its for low pressure operation under light load. People bypass it all the time, though I can't comment on the merits as I leave my cars with the stock configuration (even with walbro).
Search fuel pump rewire and you'll probably find some stuff on how to do it. You can ditch the resistor and the relay if you bypass it.

the resistor is for the injectors. If you change the injectors you may need to bypass it depending on the type of injectors.
do not bypass it for a pump. It has nothing to do with the fuel pump.

if you bypass the resistor you are effectively removing the low voltage stage of the fuel pump operation. This could lead to fuel pressure regulator over run and shortened fuel pump life.
Yeah, you're right and this will be staying in the car until an aftermarket fpr goes into place and my double pumper goes in along with a direct wire.
