Just recently purchased a Evo 9 MR. So I'm going to do a oil change these weekend any recommendation on what oil to buy for the motor? The cluster reads 108k

There are more than a few threads on this question. You will get many diff recommendations
Remember to get an OEM filter and crush washer.
You should also consider changing the drivetrain fluids (just so you know they were done and when you will have to do them next).

Amsoil 10-40 synthetic oil only goes in mine and OEM filter and if I can't get a OEM filter or am out I use a wix oil filter I bought a full baggy of crush washers but honestly I have also reused them with no problems.
I would also do the spark plugs so you know they are fresh I do my plugs every 3k miles with my oil

Yup sounds good also you could of just went with the copper plugs for like 2 bucks a plug there cheap it's why I do mine every 3k miles. It's piece of mind for me plus I run pretty high boost so it's better to keep them fresh

Stock diaqueen in rear diff and transfer case is what I use and amsoil in my transmission and in my motor all I run is amsoil 10-40 full synthetic it's a little more expensive but is leaps ahead of most motor oils out there. I'll never run mobile 1 after seeing the problems that oil had burning in my Subaru sti granted that's an sti but still not good it burns like that in most subarus for some reason..
And we'll amsoil test results are always good also shel rotella T is a really good oil to its made for diesel vehicles and works good in turbo cars also

IMO it is so important when you buy a used performance vehicle to change all the fluids.
My friend didn't take my advice with his TT- 6 spd supra... and about 1 yr later he found out his trans fluid was low/missing..... found out the hard way
My Evo is Full bolt on Stock turbo w/ kelford cams at 95k miles.
Oil - Rotella T6 5W40 - readily available and I've never had an issue with it, Blackstone Labs testing after every change.
Filter - OEM always works, I've used everything from K&N (Skip it) to Wix
Always get the OEM crush washer for the plug.
OR
One of my favorite "upgrades" is the Fumoto Oil Drain Valve, makes Oil Changes slightly faster and a whole lot cleaner.
Trasnmission Fluid - Redline MT-85
Transfer Case - Redline Heavy Shockproof
Rear Diff - Redline Heavy Shockproof
Ill add since I have an MR and just did all the fluids however im at 30k , I use mobil 1 synthetic with an hks oil filter, and for my drivetrain fluids I ONLY use OEM transmission fluid for the 6 speed to many horror stories going with anything else, and also for trans case and diff is all oem no need for anything else. Spark Plugs are the Lazer Iridium (only put on less than 10k a year so I change them every year) and my oil drain plug is a Greddy Neo Magnet .
