First EVO

WW Evo IX, flew to So CAL to purchase a WW for a reasonable price since I was not able to find one close to stock in the WI/IL region and in the price range I wanted. It was mostly stock when I bought it, as of now I am working on a e85 build so it does have some minor bolt on's.

Yes I did, prior to my vacation in Cali to visit my parents I had been searching for a evo. Timing was on my side and I bought the evo while I had a great time in Cali. The only down side of the road trip back was that I totally forgot Evos dont have cruise control...

Yeah not having cruise control sucks big time on long trips. My right foot was not happy after the long drive. Like you I bought mine out of state in Kentucky and drove it to Colorado in one day. Would've done it in 2 but an impending winter storm made me push my schedule up. When I left Colorado I drove it to San Diego and had it shipped to Hawaii where it currently resides.

Love the WW, great find especially being mostly unmolested. Apparently the computers do have a cruise control function you just need to fit the car with the controls for it(that is if you plan to make a lot of long drives) I will say my right foot goes number after a while lol

Idk what you guys are talking about. When I bought my evo and then drove it from Kansas to Florida it was one of the best and most comfortable trips ever lol. Recaros felt great and never once thought about cruise control I guess passing through the tennessee mountains helped passed the time..

Driving through the Rocky Mts I didnt mind, it was when I drove from Salt Lake City back to Wi. Swear to god it was like a straight stretch of 500 miles that consisted of salt, desert, and boring plains..
