Exhaust for JDM rear bumper

So im about to buy a JDM rear bumper for my IX and I was wondering what the best exhaust would be in terms of sound and fitment with the JDM rear?
Also what exhaust did you guys go with for your JDM rear and how do you like it?

I have a Tanabe Concept G Blue on my Evo IX. It fitted perfect with the USDM bumper. When I put the JDM bumper on I needed to cut and weld to get a perfect fit.

Looks great now.

I saw that before I bought my JDM bumper. And I was hopeful ...

But it's not how my exhaust fit on the JDM bumper - it was too long, the bumper interfered with the silencer and the angle was off.

I even inquired with Tanabe if they make a different rear section for the JDM part which Tanabe North America denied.

It is possible that there is a Tanabe for the JDM bumper but it isn't available from the US distributor if it exists.

BTW do you own a Tanabe and JDM bumper?

I do not own the jdm bumper. I'm just offering as an option to someone based on someone's fitment. I was unaware of the details you've explained in reference to fitment. I'm also trying to sell my exhaust.

the bumper hit the muffler?

your cheapest bet would be to just have an exhaust trimmed at a muffler shop. I'm not aware of any exhausts, stateside, that will fit without modification (not to say they don't exist). We've all had to trim ours.

I have the HKS Carbon Ti. It fits the jdm rear nicely, unsure if the previous owner had to modify it to make it fit though. It's very loud, although I have a test pipe instead of a hfc. I wouldn't recommend it for noise, but it is very nice to look at.

A lot of companies make two versions of their exhaust, one for USDM and the other for JDM. If you're buying new, be sure to select the correct one. If you want loud and good performance, the Buschur or STM exhaust is a great choice. I personally have the AMS exhaust. Fitment is perfect but sound is alright. Romei is also a good brand (titanium) so it's expensive.

I have a buschur tbe and it sounds amazing. It also fits without any modification with my JDM bumper. Only thing is that it sticks out a little but I actually think it looks good like that.

I do believe STM will be coming out with a Ti exhaust for the 8s and 9s here shortly. They have turned up the Titanium fabrication here recently.
