Anyone recognize this sound


i was working on replacing a hose to my egr valve. Turned it on to see if my ses light would turn off and i then i start hearing this sound. Help?

(got the video working)

Its a high pitch rotational sound that is likely coming from the cam gear side. Maybe timing belt tensioner


Its hard to say just listening, but could be other things rotational as well, like the alternator pulley bearing
Sorry to hear youre having problems. Nothing like correcting one & then something else pops up

So I called my buddy that built the car and told me to take off the oil cap and see if the sound goes away. Which it did. Guessing bad pvc valve?

Read more about people having problems with pvc valve. A lot of them are saying dipstick popping out when boosting is usually a first sign. I did have that problem until i put a spring on it . Think i found my problem. Thankfully its not an expensive fix.

Blow through an OEM pcv valve in the direction of the valve cover and it seals. Try that with one from a parts house and it passes air in either direction - or at least that is my experience. Only a turbo car pcv valve needs to seal. If it doesn't you are pressurizing the crankcase to manifold boost.

When i took the old pvc valve it didnt have a seal (seems to me like a silver ball) the new one i bought does.
