driving without under engine protector

Just had some work done on my car and It has the plastic sump protector off it, I want to leave it off for a few weeks just to make sure I don't have any oil leaks under there, easy to see etc, would you guys think its ok to leave it off for a while, don't want to damage anything with a rock or stick but that should get thrown up by the front wheels I would assume not under the front diff and gear box

The 4-6's don't have covers and I've never had any damage.

Just me, but I wont run my car without one. I have a galvanized JDM one made by Beat Rush, on for 5-6 years. I want to protect my engine bay from road debris of all kinds. Also, its more aerodynamic. If it snows, rains or ice melter/sand , I don't want that being thrown up into the engine bay, if I can easily avoid it. I do not like the OEM one, and it's a POS.

Most evo's have their under-trays removed. Me? I recently purchased a used one ( which was a bit of a PITA to find lol ) and need to modify it to fit my car as it hits my AMS inter-cooler.

As stated above, the reason for having one is to keep the engine bay clean, and also slightly helps a bit with aerodynamics. Mainly to keep it clean though.

I've run without mine for nearly 4-5 months now, and I'm sure the previous owner has gone much more. So you'll be fine without it.

that plastic things crete more problem then it actually help. etc such as fluid leaks , oil leak or coolant.. and if it does leaks and u dont know.. it would create havoc .. oil starvationb coolant over heat turn to HG ... not saying it not helping..but rather have it off then leave it on

I think going without the OVER engine protector is worse, same with the overhead occupant protectors

I haven't rolled with an under tray in either of my cars since 'nam you'll be fine. Plus makes it easier to fix any busted FMIC piping/couplers.

Mine has been off for 6 years. No issues besides the engine getting dirtier quicker.
